“Therefore, since we are are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and awe.”
Worship is to be God-centered. In praying the Bible, singing the Bible, reading the Bible, preaching the Bible, and in seeing the Bible through the sacraments, the priority must be the glory of Almighty God.
Adult Sunday School / Prayer Meeting at 9:30 AM
In our prayer meeting, we pray for concerns connected to our local church. As well, we read prayer letters from other like-minded churches and letters concerning the persecuted church so we can intercede for the church at large. On alternating weeks, we study a chapter of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith in order to have a good understanding of historic and systematic theology.
Recordings of previous teachings on the 1689 Confession are available in the Sermon Audio archives, but we are not currently live broadcasting on Youtube/SermonAudio. To join a current teaching study live using Zoom, reach out to ask for an invitation and Zoom details.
Sunday Morning Worship Service at 11:00 AM
God made man to worship Him. As a result of the fall, we have rejected this privilege. In Jesus Christ, we are renewed in His image and have access to the Father, through Jesus Christ the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Corporate worship is the focal point of church life and believers get to assemble together as the New Covenant community saved by Jesus Christ for the worship of God.
Sunday Evening Worship Service at 5:00PM
As Reformed Baptists, we embrace the Decalogue as a rule of life (Jeremiah 31; Hebrew 8), including the fourth commandment. We believe that an evening service lends itself toward observing the whole day as holy unto the Lord and we delight to gather for corporate worship in the evening as well.
Wednesday Evening Bible Study
We study a portion of God’s Word together each Wednesday evening. Currently we are studying Genesis and will proceed through the rest of the books of Moses, Lord willing. All are welcome to join us at 7:30 PM, when we start with singing a couple of hymns and a prayer meeting, much like with the Sunday morning prayer meeting. The actual Bible Study starts at 8:00 PM. If you are not a regular attendee, please take a moment to check our Calendar to ensure that there is a Bible Study as from time to time at certain times of the year we may miss a week, or reach out to us to confirm. Please use the rear entrance of the church to access the Fellowship Hall.
The Bible Study itself (starting 8:00pm) is broadcast live on Youtube, with recordings also available in Sermon Audio. The Prayer Meeting & Bible Study are also available via Zoom – please reach out to ask for an invitation to it.
Saturday Morning Theology Study
Our theology study group meets every other Saturday morning at 6:30am, generally on the opposite weekend of the Sunday morning 1689 Confession Study. Currently we are studying the wonderful book from Sinclair Ferguson, called “The Whole Christ: Legalism, Antinomianism, and Gospel Assurance—Why the Marrow Controversy Still Matters”. Contact our teaching pastor for more information about the study, and for an invite to the Zoom meeting if you are so inclined. Some resources available about the book:
- It’s available for purchase on Amazon (Kindle ebook and print)
- Video lectures from the author are freely available on the Ligionier website
- Youtube summary of the book by the author (28 minutes)
